Last week’s Cutest Boy You’re Not Crushing On Yet, Lucky Blue Smith, is going to be a hard one to top, so this week, we thought we’d try something different.
Meet Magnus Carlsen. Magnus is from Oslo, Norway and is the current reigning World Chess Champion. He just defended his title again on Friday at a big tournament in the Netherlands, and has the highest chess ranking ever in history. This makes him, literally, #BAE (at least in the world of chess 
) And he’s only 24!
We know what you’re thinking. It’s chess. CHESS! But just consider. If you’ve ever played chess, you know that in lots of ways, it would make the perfect first date. Imagine… your crush sitting across the table from you, looking extra cute because he’s so deep in concentration. And if you beat him at the game, you’ll command his respect forever. Just saying.
Why he’s crush-worthy: Magnus has been amazing at chess since he was 5. In fact, you can challenge Magnus to a (virtual) game on your phone right now if you download his app @ playmagnus.com. He’ll tell you how you did after the match, with a cute graphic like:

But he’s not *just* a chess player. We girls at Tiger Beat aren’t the only ones to pick up on the cuteness. Magnus is also the current spokesmodel for G-Star RAW denim and he was in this amazing video, below, with Lily Cole, a British model who has been photographed by some of the same fashion people who’ve worked with Lucky Blue Smith recently. Small world.
